The Dead Sea Scrolls
Provide the Jewish context of the early Netzari Faith, the sect of the Way.
The Early Believers Called: HaDerech (The Way)The Natsari Sect, Netzarim-Natzraya. Almost all the Dead Sea Scrolls were fragmentary; not more than a dozen are intact. One of the fragmentary scrolls Is called 4Q246. If that’s too hard to remember, you can think of it as the Aramaic Apocalypse. 4Q246 or the Aramaic Apocalypse provides the context for a scholarly examination of the concept of the Son of God. 4Q246 says: Affliction will come on Earth . . . He will be called great . . . ‘Son of God’ he will be called and ‘Son of the Most High’ they will call him . . . His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom . . . He will judge the Earth in truth and all will make peace.
This was written a hundred years before Jesus (MarYah Yeshua Meshiakha) was born.
Luke 1:34-35, the famous Annunciation scene in which the angel Gabriel tells Maryam that she will bear a son, reads as follows:
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High . . . of his kingdom there will be no end . . . he will be called the Son of God.
Some three centuries later Epiphanius in his work the Panarion which means “medicine-chest” (also known as Adversus Haereses, “Against Heresies”), presented as a book of antidotes for those bitten by the serpent of heresy. Gave us a look into the early sect of the Way.
Panarion Part 29 3:7~4:4
3:7 But with the transfer of the royal throne the rank of king passed, in , from the physical house of David and Israel to the church.13 The throne is established in God’s holy church forever, and has both the kingly and the high-priestly rank for two reasons.
3:8 It has the kingly rank from our Lord “Eashoa’ M’sheekha”, in two ways: because he is physically descended from King David, and because he is in fact a greater king from all eternity in virtue of his Godhead. But it has the priestly rank because M’sheekha himself is high priest and the founder of the office 14 of the high priests.
3:9 since Ya’aqub, who was called the Lord’s brother and who was his apostle, was immediately 15 made the first bishop.16 He was Yoseph’s son by birth but was ranked as the Lord’s brother because of their upbringing together.
4:2 Yoseph’s And moreover I find that he was of Davidic descent because of being Yoseph’s son, and that he was born a Nazirite—for he was Yoseph’s first-born, and (thus) consecrated.19 And I have found further that he also functioned as (high)-priest in the ancient priesthood.20
4:3 Thus he was permitted to enter the Holy of Holies once a year, as scripture says the Law directed the high priests to do. For many before me—Eusebius, Clement and others—have reported this of him.
4:4 He was allowed to wear the priestly tablet21 besides, as the trustworthy authors I mentioned have testified in those same historical writings.
We are restoring the ancient sect of Nazarene Judaism. Why because Eashoa’ did not come to create a new religion; He came to be the M’sheekha of Judaism.
The Name of Jesus Christ in the Ancient Aramaic language is: “Eashoa’ M’sheekha” Also “Eil” is the name of the Father and “Tla-qnumeh” is the Trinity in the Ancient Aramaic language.
We are Modern Nazarene Jews. For those who do not know, Nazarene Jews are the original Jewish followers of Eashoa’ as the Jewish M’sheekha of Judaism.
We are returning to the Ancient Paths of “Eil.” YHWH, living unto “Eil.” YHWH as He writes His Torah upon our hearts (according to Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 8:8-10; Heb. 10:16). Heb. 8:10 But this is the covenant which I will give to the family of the house of Israel after those days, says Master YHWH: I will put my Torah in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts; and I will be to them a Elohim, and they will be to me a people..
Who Were The Nazarenes ? (more properly, “Natsarim”)The Natsarim (watchmen, branches) were the sect of followers of Eashoa’ M’sheekha of Natsarith, (see Acts 24:5, where Rav Sha’ul was termed “a ringleader” of this sect).
Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 11:1. The Netzer is a small shoot that grows out from the line of Yishai (Jesse) the father of King David.
This small shoot represents M’sheekha (Messiah) Eashoa’ (Jesus) who brings the Kingdom of Elohim (God) to the world through the line of King David. The original Jewish followers of Eashoa’ M’sheekha were called the Netzarim.
The Netzari Faith is not a religion like either Judaism or Christianity. For example one does not observe Shabbat because of a theology, but rather because of an understanding of Divine Rest that connects man to his Creator. Yes there is a “religious Sabbath” that some Jews and Christians adhere to, but Shabbat isn’t about religion, it’s about experiencing the nature of Mashiyach (Messiah) within us. Most Christians reject Shabbat because they only see it through religious eyes and as a “Jewish thing”.
Most Jews reject Yeshua as Mashiyach because they have only heard of him through the religion of Christianity and often judge Eashoa’ M’sheekha by how Christians live and teach about him. Mashiyach however isn’t limited by a person’s choice of “religion”, but he is the divine connection point between “Eil.” (YAHWEH) and man.
Eashoa’ (Jesus) said that he did not come to abolish the Torah or Nevi’im and that both would endure as long as the physical universe is maintained (Matthew 5.18); and in Revelation 21.:8 states that those who violate the Torah are punished by suffering in the hereafter. The Gospel accounts report that this was not just lip-service, as Jesus kept Shabbat (Luke 4.16) and the Jewish Holy Days like Sukkot (John 7.2; 7.10; 7.37) and even Chanukah (John 10.22). The most well-known Jewish festival he kept was Pesach. We read proofs of this in his instructions to “keep the Passover” (Matthew 26.18), which is the equivalent of “eat the Passover” (Mark 14.14), which we are told he did (Matthew 26.21; Mark 14.18).
Netzarim Believers do not emphasize theology or doctrine as the standard of “Faith”, but righteous character and the action of true Faith. Torah observance by Faith is action demonstrating the anointing of the Ruach HaKodesh (Set Apart Spirit). If one says they have Faith, but has NO love for Torah, their Faith is vanity. Ya‛aqob 1:22
And become doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. “For a man says to you, „You and I have faith; I have deeds; Show me your faith without deeds and I shall show you my faith by my deeds. Ya‛aqob 2:18 .
So how can a person discern whether or not another person is of Elohim or not? Very simply; if they guard Eashoa’ M’sheekha Commands (Torah) – as you can see in 1 Yohanan for the evidence. Which ones? The big Ten for starters. A person cannot live in darkness, being a lawbreaker openly, and claim to be a believer, loving Yahuah:
“He that has My mitzvot, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he who loves Me, shall be loved by My Abba, and I will love him, and will reveal Myself to him,” Yochanan 14:21.
We are embracing the “Way” Nazarene (Natzarim) sect of Judaism and following the true teachings of Eashoa’ M’sheekha, of Natsarith .
NetzariPedia Without knowledge of the Torah it is impossible to know or achieve holiness, and one is subject to defilement of their soul until they achieve a proper fundamental understanding of the Law given to Moses. It is also impossible to understand or read the Synoptic Gospels and works such as the Epistle of James and know what Eashoa’ M’sheekha meant without a familiarity with the Law. For example, in Luke, when Eashoa’ M’sheekha heals a leper, he commands him to ‘make a sacrifice as Moses commanded’ in reference to the Levitical offering mandated for the healing of foul conditions. There is no doubt that fairly all of the early “believers” were Torah-following Jews of the Way until the advent of the Pauline controversy that led up into “Western Christianity”. Even Paul however, as famous as he is for saying that “The Law Brings Death”, was excommunicated by James the Just, brother of Yeshua and First Bishop of Jerusalem under the pretext of heresy against the Torah.
In Luke 16:17, Eashoa’ M’sheekha says that “until Heaven and Earth pass away, not one letter of the Law shall fail”, similarly in Matthew 5:17-18, Eashoa’ M’sheekha states “he who speaks against even the least of the Commandments shall be regarded as the least in Heaven”, in other words, anyone who says that one needs not to follow even the SLIGHTEST commandment, such as that it is permissible to covet, or that it is permissible to worship an idol, or to eat an unclean animal, shall be called worthless/of no value ‘the least’. Indeed, even in the writings of the prophets such as in Isaiah and Jeremiah, nations that do not care for the Lord of the Law are deemed to be of ‘no value’ to Him except as tools of His anger. The Torah is all that is important, so important that it is commanded for those who take on the Covenant with the Lord to read it every day and to speak of it day and night and instruct it to one’s family. So sacred is the Law, yet rascals and weasels who have no desire to do as the Lord asks but seek their own method of entering the sheep’s pen have subverted the reins of authority for centuries to preach one variety of Torah-less-ness or another.
The matters pertaining to the Torah are quite black and white in most cases, but there is some vagueness and ambiguity as well. The formation of the Talmud and the modern day Pharisaic Rabbinic study of the Torah through unscriptural claims and “Oral Torah” that often includes decisions made well past 600 A.D. Struggles between Talmudists and Anti-Talmudists caused the formation of the “Karaite” sect, which was ostracized and even at times, attacked through skullduggery (Such as arranging for governments to exile and kill them) by the Talmudists who had completely subverted Jewish leadership after the destruction of the Temple. The Masoretic Text, of which is the oldest version of the modern Hebrew Canon, was arranged by medieval Karaite Rabbis.
Traditionally, belief and the scripture itself affirms that the prophet Moses did achieve completion of the Torah in his lifetime, some believe that the warrior-prophet Joshua who succeeded Moses finished the parts Moses didn’t.
So that The God of our Lord Eashoa’ M’sheekha, The Father of glory, would give you The Spirit of wisdom and revelation with his knowledge, And that the eyes of your hearts would be enlightened, that you will know what is the hope of his calling and what is the wealth of the glory of his inheritance in The Holy Ones, And what is the excellence of the greatness of his power in us, by those things which we believe, according to the action of the immensity of his power, Ephesians 1:17-19 (Rav Sha’ul).
